What Happens After a Chargeback Is Filed

An overview of the process and potential outcomes when a chargeback is initiated.

When a chargeback is filed, a structured process is initiated involving PadiePay, the user's bank, and the receiving party.

The outcome of a chargeback depends on the evidence provided and the final decision made by the bank or card issuer.

Once a chargeback is filed:

  • PadiePay is notified by the user’s bank or card issuer.
  • The disputed funds may be temporarily held.
  • You (the receiver) will be notified and asked to provide evidence.
  • The evidence is submitted to the bank, which makes a final decision.
  • Based on the outcome: Funds may be returned to the sender, Or released back to your account.
